This week is so shag.
Line laying at some Marsling forest.
So many detachment lines incomplete.
And most of all, Roy... Sian la don't wanna talk so much about it.

Another Hildan death a few days ago.

Died of a motorcycle accident.
Very sad, again why Hildan again.
3rd death in 2 years...

It's 2 weeks more before the end of my signal course.
Which after that I will be posted to unit.

Quick update on myself.

October started, and so everything's starting.

Had my 1st ever guard duty last Saturday.
Quite a taxing one but fun.
It's more like finding treasures.
2 hours, followed by 4 hours of rest, and then another 2 hours again.
It starts and ends at 8AM.
Sounds very 24!

Just signed extra duty for sleeping in lecture hall, snoring.
Caught by the slacker 1SG Tan. Blah!

Up next will be the minimum 1-half day outfield.
Going to Marsling for outfield.
I will be doing some line camoflaging.
PLEASE GOD DON'T RAIN! (Like the one during BMT...)

MY laptop is down.
All my favourite shows are downloaded halfway.
Thanks to my bro he lagged my downloads for like a month.
Now, the torrent has no seeds.
I have to watch everything from Youtube.

Sigh I swear when I get a new computer I am gonna re-download every stuff and continue from where I left off.
I am seriously lagged out from my downloads.
Tell him to download he went to queue it.
Argh, don't say anymore.

These 2 weeks I am suffering from withdrawal of Taiwan variety shows.
ARGH.
So today there is the NDP and Olympics.
Beijing 2008... Woo.
Not bad for them.
The opening ceremony was great.
But then army has already made me missed 2 major sporting events of 2008.
So, where got time?

Army again was like @#%$~@#.
Platoon Sergeant Ervin came back.
For that week everyone was kinda undergoing stress.
But now, he's leaving for 2nd Sergeant course.
So we will not be seeing him anymore.
POP won't be seeing him also.
So this means Sergeant Weilun/PS Weilun/PS Alan/Encik/CSM or whatever will be taking over us.
Means, we will have to see his freaking face again!

...sucks to the core.
It's the worst stage of my BMT life so far.
A total of shitty rainy 5 days.

The week before was rush.
We had to learn everything pack everything into the fieldpack.

And so Day 1 reached.

No 5BX, just breakfast and off we go from Kestrel Coyline.
Reached Permantang (sp?) forest/jungle/grasspatch.
We built our tents there.
And while we are building...
DING DONG! CAT 1 (x2) and it rained heavily.
Wearing our jackets, with our rifle back-slinged, we continued to dig the drainage using our ET sticks.
Mud started coming in and we half-slept on the mud.
the ground sheet machiam not ground sheet...
Still got water flowing in.
F!#$%%^$^!!
It continued throughout the evening, and we couldn't do anything.
At night, it was dark, poor terrain, tripped almost everything.
Boots and pants soaked with mud, specs steamed and vision blurred.

Day 2, woke up at 5.30, didn't slept well at all.
5BX, vest slack with rifle, had to fall in and count strength in the dark.
But thanks to the moon the visibility +5%.
Rations in the morning.
Had some practice for some rifle assault training.
The OC of Kestrel Coy, Sir Erzwin took my section for training.
Section 3 consists of Aw (Kevin), Kenneth, Boy (Razif), Siddiq, Daryl, Weixiang, Musadad, Yaohua, Yusof, Tionghow, Zhilong, Muru and me.
Zhilong fell out during the 1st few hours of Day 2.
So this leaves us with 12.
We trained under him, quite harsh because he is a lieutanent (2 bars).
But we were rewarded after the morning training.
What reward? Ask me!
Ok so after lunch he took us again.
We were slow this time round, and he made us knock it down on the mud.
By this time, Daryl and TH had fell out, and we were left with 10 people.
We trained, and we kept making mistakes, and he scolded us.
But we tried our best, and finally we did the correct position that we are supposed to do.
After the training, we had kinda have this after-training-talk session.
We were supposed to say how we feel during the field camp and the training.
I was the last bed, so I had my speech, and then I ended it with,
"We are very honoured to train with you, Sir!"
And then I saluted to him.
Everyone clapped. (To be honest it felt damn shiok. Hee.)
He rewarded us again!
Platoon Sergeant Weilun was like smiling, and he had nothing to say.
Anyway food rations for the whole damn day.
Oh Day 2 was a dry one, I slept more than 7 hours that day.

Day 3, whole day waiting to do the drill.
My group consists of me, YH and Aw.
Our platoon were waiting since 10am till like 4pm?
So we listened to the Malay guys talking cock and it was hella funny.
We were ready and going off when Sir Erzwin stopped my group.
We were singing Jay Chou's An Jing.
And we sang, and he sang it too.
After singing, he asked us, "How to sing Coral Sea (Shan Hu Hai)?"
So we sang in front of him.
It's our turn but since we were still singing, he let Shaddiq's group go 1st.
Sir Peh and Sergeant Vincent were laughing.
And what's more, we have to explain to Sir Erzwin the translation of the lyrics and what do they mean.
After that he asked us how do we feel about Jay Chou.
And i went to tell him what Jay did instead.
The whole day was quite fun.
Proned whole day, looking at ants crawling around.
And we did the drills so many times, and then the 2nd Warrant Officier stopped us.
He talked to us about some army stuffs.
Lazy to remember what he said lah.
So after the drills we went back to our tentage to eat our rations.
And so we slept...

Day 4 was the worst day ever.
Even with fresh food, still sucks.
Shell scrape digging.
We had to dig a hole on the ground and prone inside doing defense tactic.
And we started digging from 11am.
Dig dig dig... I see Muru dug so much within 1 hour, and I got stressed, because i haven't even dug a quarter.
So I begin to broke down because too stress.
Sir Gerald came and comfort me.
Never really felt so down in my life, seriously.
He told me to dig a shape, need not so deep.
So dug whole day.
We had dinner in the dar, and suddenly it rained.
Carried my muddy ground sheet from the hill to the tentage.
And it was very dark, no light, things dropping everywhere.
Damn it.
We seeked shelter in the tentage, sharing with Ignitius.
So we were going to fall asleep, thinking we could sleep whole day.
But WRONG! Sergeant Weilun shouted and asked the whole company to fall in, have snacks and go up and sleep in the whole.
I went WTF! So dar and you want us go up.
Never mind, we went up, slowly find our platoon mates.
Slept on the grass, around with Aw, TH, Kenneth, Kwang and the malay dudes.

By 0545 on the 5th and last day, we need to prone inside the hole.
We were not supposed to sleep.
But the freaking Rahmat was like snoring?
Proning and snoring was a freaking funny thing it ever happened I witnessed.
And suddenly, the sergeants gave us a surprise attack by throwing the flaming explosive sticks on us.
We need to cover our heads and shout "RT! RT!" as loud and as many as possible.
And I think Rahmat was still snoring.
WTF?
But anyway I didn't know what happened after that because everyone was in a state of confusion, and of course shouting RTRTRTRT.
After that, we were givin 30mins to cover the whole.
Ok, so with the help of RAHMAT i managed to cover the hole.
And then we went to clear up our fieldpacks and send them into the tonner.
And we were made to leopard crawl in the mud for practice.
Punishment for not cleaning up the place.
And our green uniforms became brown and dirty.
And we waitied for a few hours.
TONNERS CAME! OH YES! And so we set of to Rocky Hill.
And get prepared for the last item, the leopard crawl obstacles thing.
(The one where live rounds are fired above us and crawling above the barb wires.)
Ok so I struggled. And really I finished the thing.
I was the slowest but I amanged to complete.
Ate some mud/sand by the way.
AND IT WAS RAINING!

We went back to coyline, and you had no idea how rush we were.
Clean rifles, unpack fieldpack put in duffel bag... damn it.
My ground sheet and the muddy sticks I threw it into my cupboard.
Wow. Monday then settle.
The bunks are dirty enough... Anyway I had no word to describe it.

Overall, the field camp sucks and thinking about Sunday night's activities makes me sick...

It's 4.30am in the morning.
I can't sleep.
I got bored while watching International Friendlies England vs USA on STAR Sports.
Came here to voice out some stuffs.
Ah and I bet later kena scolded by my mum asking me to sleep and all.

Ever since my ITE route ended in March, my body clock's totally upside down.
Sleeping at 5, waking up at 3 kinda thing.
This is really bad, but no choice.
June 6th is coming and you know, I've been jogging for some short while.
It's about a week away till freedom is over.
Thinking about how physically and mentally demanding the process is makes me wobbles.
But bo bian, guys are tied down the 2 years.
It's only a matter of time, and for me, it got early.
Most of my friends are going in July, some to army, to Police, or CD.
谁叫我那么肥?
I believe it's time to slim down before having a clearer mind and lighter body before going for my next stage of education.
I have decided to let nature takes its course.
Poly ah? I will go, is only a matter of time.

May is ending soon, and really, this is really a bad month.
2 major natural disasters.
Myanmar's Cyclone Nargis.
Sichuan's Wenchuan province earthquake.
Many people dead.
Homeless, starving, families broken up, children crying for parents.
Why would it be like this?
This is the time where humanity takes the test.
Many many hands giving a hand.
Really, I was quite touched when I watched the Taiwan's and Singapore's charity shows.
I am sure people will be grateful for the world's help.

Thinking about how the people and masses in China/Myanmar are suffering, I suddenly felt lucky and heng to be in Singapore.
The people need more help than me.
I should be lucky enough, really.

Been through so much these few weeks.
Not really that much.
But well. It sucks.
NS coming, have to chiong driving.
I really hope I can book my test date before June 6th...
Been moving house too.
Not to new house, but to my grandma house.
1st floor apartment with 8 people squeezing.

Heard from my fellow SHSS juniors, this girl named Yuan Xiang passed away after a fatal car accident.
Felt so sad, that someone whom we didn't talk or even walked passed each other in school, left us just like that.
Really.
Life isn't smooth.

So that's why I will be enduring the 2 years of military service instead of 3 years of Poly.
This will be just a passing/transitional period, I believe Buddha/Jesus/Allah/some other God has plans for me.

Yes, as you can see in the heading, my JPAE application is unsuccessful.
I seriously don't know what to do now and I am not hoping for anything new already.
Emo-ed the whole day, which is damn not my usual self.
Chiong-ed down to NYP with Boon Leng and Ming Jing to appeal...
Saw Zhong Ye and guys there...
They did not get in too.
And then today went down to TP with the same people + Kian Hao, Eugene, Yuwei and Xiang Sheng to appeal.
Typed the letter and gave it to the personnel...
And now it all leaves it to fate.

Maybe I really don't have fate with Poly life.
I wanna go Poly so much (you can say desperately) but no matter how hard I try, it's really impossible.
Some people might blame the MOE for being unfair or what.
And really, I do feel really unfair for the 2 pointers.
The minimum requirement for applying JPAE for Hnitec students is 2.0.
And the people who get 2.0-2.9 had their doors shut.
Even some of the 3 pointers had nowhere to go.
Imagine the painful thought that we ITE people are going through.
So after the unsuccessful attempt, MOE throw us aside and do nothing?
The dates are so near to the Polys' respective orientation dates.
The last pirority are always the graduating ITE students.
Why do people always place ITE last?
Why do people always look down on ITE?
Is ITE really that bad?
Do we have no chance of pursuing our future?
Or maybe we should say,
We ITE students have no right to choose what we want for our life at all?
Singapore wants local talents and bright people, and yet we have no school.
You want talents, then give us a school to go lah.
Give us the course we want.
Don't keep saying there's no vacancies and all those crap.
The ads are everywhere, promotions and open houses.
You want people, but you don't accept us.
You only accept students who are clever in studies and all.
What about those who are academically weak but want to have a future?
Is this what you call a good education system?

Eh, so CNY was boring.
LOL but food and TV kept me company.

Went to work over the weekend and our shop has this big hamper from one of our suppliers.

We made keychains today.
The instructor gave us an OHP the plastic paper. (called what?)
And we started to draw.
We were supposed to draw our faces but we ended up drawing other stuffs.
Ok so after drawing, we put our pieces into the oven.
And it was quite amazing because the plastic shrinked.
From A4 size to palm size.
Quite amazing and fun.
Haha I did 4 of them.
Gave the stupid Tigger to my sis.
Hanged the n0rm4nch3w on my handphone.
As for the robber chicken and the pacman, I placed it somewhere else.
Haha.CNY coming, means money... and teevee... wahahaha.

I am having major stress.
My ITE is ending soon and my education path is very uncertain at this moment.
For my whole entire ITE life I have been getting GPAs 2.0.
Nothing but 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2... cannot be 2.1 or 2.5.
No matter how hard I try, I still can't climb up the ladder.
The light of Poly is getting further and further away from me.
Whenever I see people talking about Poly life or how stress they are or whatever, I feel really envious.
I don't know why but I wanna experience it.
My O Levels got screwed mainly because I am not the study-books type.
Other than my languages I screwed every other subjects.
So I landed my butt in ITE, hoping to get some chance to go Poly.
And I met networking and C Maths, which was the major screw-ups.
And now this is my final year and final term, I am starting to get really stressed up.
2.0 is really very low, how can I go Poly?
Even if I were to get really high for this term it would still be like 2.1 only.
And there's NS.
If I can get into for April intake, I would definitely defer my NS.
If I cannot get into Poly for April intake, I have to go NS.
And even if I wait for September/October intake, I have to go NS 1st.
So what am I gonna do?

A lot of people are telling me to go private.
PLEASE, for 1 last time, neither my family nor I have the financial capability to go for a private diploma.
STOP TELLING ME TO GO PRIVATE.
Damn it seriously, damn it.
Previously I aimed to go for a design/filming course, which is my interest.
But since it's damn hard to go in, I already aimed so low to engineering course.
I am really very desperate to get my ass into Poly.
None of my relatives I know have gone into Poly.
I don't want to be like them.
I wanna be the 1st one to get into Poly.

Sometimes I really wanna whack those people who set those requirements.
Why those good courses have high requirements?
What about those who can't study?
Does that mean they can't get their course they want?
Maybe those people can excel in there?
There are people out there doing jobs that does not interest them.
Please. Just because people can't study doesn't mean they're condemned and get low salaries.

I am not whining or what, I just feel very sad why the world out there is like this.
I just don't wanna be schooless even if I come out from my NS.

Just finished my Powerpoint slides in time.

But anyway-

Year 2007 (MMVII)
2007 is the year which I did practically... nothing.
This is the year where I became the stay-at-home-geek.
Yes for the 1st load of the year.

My final term for my 1st year of my ITE was from January till March.
Nothing big really happened, but all I know is:
I only attended 1 chalet so far this whole year.
The IT1A 06/07 chalet.
After that no more, study and play and study.
Got D for networking which screwed up my entire ITE-to-Poly route.
Thanks to the dear Seeraxxxxxxxxxxx don't-know-how-to-spell-full-name.

TV was my companion, computer was my wife.
Until August this year when I had my wife changed, that's the lappy.
Dreamt of stuffs that are totally not in reality.
Many things left undone, many stuffs forgotten, many thoughts regretted.
Many actions did, many games played, many topics not studied.
Can only blame myself...
It was not only until when I started my attachment during October, I realised that I must improve myself a lot.
So what if you are fat Mr Norman Chew.
Fat then cut a few kilos lo, there's no need to go through stupid diets like girls (YIKES! :D).
What's important is not the size, but the image and thinking.
(Thinking of this, I this Sunday need go cut hair already...)
Also realised money is hard to earn, the last job 2 years ago never told me enough.
And also, life is a rocky road. It might not be smooth.

But for this year, I'm glad I met new people.
They're kind and nice and funny.
Like Yeeseng, the cool and hip Farhan.
And I'm glad I met the very kind boss.
It makes me wanna continue staying for the job.
And also my work colleages, they're very nice and funny people.
Wah suddenly I super motivated ah, don't know why haha.

And also not forgetting my old time buddies!

2007 is closing soon.
2008 is coming, so my resolution for the new year is 1024x768.
OMG this is lame.
Ok my resolutions will be:
My family to be well.

So I am turning 20 on July 2008.
Very fast right, 2 decades on this Earth.
Another year or so I will the legal 21.
Nothing big but let me spend the 20 1st then 21 later say haha.

HAHA MY WINDOWS VISTA IS DOING UPDATES.

So what's the big deal about it.
Friday is over, now it's Saturday 8 December 2007 nearing 2am.

As this saying (by me) goes:
"Silence is golden without Frankie around."
Frankie is off today, so is Farhan (he's on MC).
Frankie not around so the whole workplace damn quiet.
Then me, Yeeseng, Gary and boss were talking about soccer most of the time.
Not many customers too, so can work slowly.

There is work tomorrow, part-timers are coming, great.
Anoher 1 week and I'll be labelled as a part-timer.
$6 per hour, sounds reasonable to me.
Why 6 bucks? Because I am considered as "freshman".
Most of the part-timers are 7 bucks, as they worked there for quite some time.
Only Ronald is 8, he's the longest part-timer around, and Desmond too if I'm not wrong.
At least I have some money.

Tomorrow my nonsensical people are asking me out...
I have no more money left, don't know wanna go or not.
Don't feel like going... Because got Golden Horse Awards tomorrow... Haha...

Can say today is one of the rainest (?) day ever in 2007.
Morning rain, afternoon rain, now also rain.
Go Korea also got RAIN...
No more jokes because today is already cold enough.

MRT today at around 7pm was slower than before.
It took more than 15 minutes to reach Tampines from Kembangan.
Don't know what's wrong... Maybe got rain that's why...

I am currently reformatting my old PC that I abandoned (ever since I got this lappy).
Pentium 4 PC that is already almost 5 years old soon.
It still works today, haha.
Guys, I am not a computer freak.
I am more interested in designing, photography, film and those sorts related to camera.
Yeah if I can go Poly then maybe I will take up Film Theory as a subject.

My grandfather is back in hospital again... sigh.
Ok, work was quite the same as before.
And yay, boss allowed me to continue my work after the IAP period.
Meaning that I can work for at least another 3 weeks.
Meaning that I will be doing holiday job.
Meaning that I can get normal pay!!!

The other day boss got this book titled "101 Steps To Reduce Your Business Expenses".
The cover looked convincing enough.
When I opened the 1st page there is this American Express credit card picture, looked quite real.

Then I flipped next page, it was entirely blank!

Blank, blank, blank blank blank... Haha then boss said: "This book I give my kid draw draw he also happy!"
Everyone laughed at it, because earlier on Frankie got tricked by boss and the book.

So yesterday after work, my dad called me and asked me to eat outside.
I was alone, so I called up the long-time-no-see Joel Michael.
Met him in TM around 7 plus.
LOL saw him and he looked no different than before.
Still sloppy, sleepy, earphones hanging halfway, messy hair, jeans...
We walked around and went to MacDonalds to have dinner.
Talked about quite a lot of stuff, and the past stuffs too.
He wanted to play Time Crisis, so we went back TM arcade.

He played I just looked around as I don't really have much interest in arcades.
We went Subway, bought his sandwich and we went to Starbucks to slack.
Haha we shared 1 drink, which was quite gay but funny.

Had a great catch up with him, damn when is he getting a girfriend.
Joel cannot be sloppy!
Haha.
So was walking past SHSS, and then took a peek inside.
Man, how I miss those times.
Graduated for almost 3 years soon, and I am sure my batch of people are missing the old school days as well.

Work today was slack.

So back to my main topic, I fixed this single computer for 1 whole day.

Yes, it sucks, but waiting for it to load is such a torture and pain.

Also today got arrive new CPU casings.

New 'Ferrari' casings, nice nice! Got big fan somemore!

Will have some joy assembling PCs for the next 2 weeks...

Written on Saturday 24th November 2007.

Good day in the afternoon, slept till 1PM, watched 放羊的星星.

Heard that my grandpa is finally discharged from the hospital.

So I went to his house and visit him.

Everyone was there, cousin Jeanne and Grace.

He looked well, still able to talk loudly.

And a new maid is here to take care of him.

Her name is Lindsay (not Lohan).

Talked to grandpa for a while, he was very happy to see me.

I was happy too, that everything is well for him.

We love the emperor!

After that rode the almost-45-minutes long MRT to HabourFront.

Met Kianhao, Weiting and Eugene there.

Ryan is the late king of all, wahaha.

Never mind, so we went to VivoCity and have dinner there.

Couldn't decide whether to go ThaiExpress or The Asian Kitchen.

Settled on Asian Kitchen.

Ordered the chicken cutlet fried rice, quite yummy (because it was chicken-ish).

Haha after that we went to the Candy Empire to buy some candies and chocolates.

Very funny there, for every 100 grams of candies/chocolates we pick costs us $3.80.

Ryan and Eugene shared the candies.

And to their amazement, it costed them more than $8.

LOL damn funny, Ryan picked too much marshmellows and it resulted more than 100 grams.

As for me, I picked those 'deity pill' chocolates.

Waha and I picked to exactly 100 grams.

Shiok, paid $3.80 and I ate the 'pills' happily.

It was sweet, but Kianhao said damn bitter.

Maybe because of the coffee bean inside but damn it, it is still sweet la. Haha.

It's around 10PM, took the train back to Tampines with the couple...

Quite tired but I had a fruitful day...

Turns out that he hails from the UK.
He asked whether he can service his P3 lappy.
When I asked him where is he from, he said -

Q - Describe today.
A - Tired, long, semi-crowded, pain, nervous, curious, funny, lame.

NS medical screening.
I can say was like very fun and yet a bit OMG.
Not many people there because down there quite orderly.
Reached the CMPB entrance, surrendered our handphones (as it was a camera phone).
Then got in and did the registration stuffs.
Yeah, so rightI I really won't wanna talk too much on it here, it's army stuffs.

I - photograph, lol they really will lend you the green uniform
II - urine test
III - prick your fingers and draw your blood <--- this one quite ouch
IV - poke your arm and draw your blood
V - eye test
VI - hearing test, just some funny sound and they stated there NO MUSIC. LOL
VII - X-Ray your body. Have to take off your shirt
VIII - dental check
IX - X-Ray your head (mostly scanning the jaw area)
X - take off your shirt again, take ECG
XI - height and weight, blood pressure
XII - doctor look at you, pull down your pants and check your area haha
XIII - vocational assessment which is lame and tiring, worst than BTT/FTT

The vocational assessment was the most lamest thing I ever did in my life.
It's like computerized exam where they ask you a lot of lame questions.
So many parts, there is Maths and Science and number patterns.
There was 1 part where they tested your reaction.
"Type the number 3 times upon seeing it."
Ok so the 1st few times was alright.
Until the last few times appeared so fast until I had to literally bang the keyboard (not really bang la but it was damn frustrating).
And there is this final part where they ask you to remember the number and then the number dissappears, and you must remember and then type down the number.
At 1st few questions they only show like 5 digits and it dissappears after a while.
But as the questions move on the digits become more and more and it dissappears damn fast.
So I heck it, I remembered the 1st 3 digits then I anyhow press the last few.
Like 70399999999999999 all the way and there were way too much digits.

The results I had was Pes D.
Woah they'll need to Dr Lau from NUH then can confirm my Pes Bp status...
Btw Pes D = unconfirmed status.
Kianhao got A, which means anything from commando.
Eugene got Bp, means army for fatties (I will fall into this category if everything is ok after 3 months).
Yuwei, Hanwei and Ryan got D, which means they have to come back.
Yikes, do I really have to wait 3 months???

After that went VivoCity and ate LJS.
Quite happy for me being a 1st time visitor there.
Haha me country bumpkin right.
Then went to visit the pet shops, damn the puppies are damn cute!
Fighting each other for their toys, damn cute!

Reached home at around 5, and fell to sleep.
Man seriously, this is been a very very long long nong nong nong and tiring day.

Today Mr Nathan the 'president' came to our workplace to check on us (visit us sound more nicer).
Boss and him said something on our conduct.
So far, we have no problems in our punctuality, which is VERY DAMN SO THE GOOD!!!
I heard from Farhan said if we maintain this super good conduct we can get at least 50 over 60.
YAY finally I have some light to my future.
And then DON'T talk to me about my future, for it is still unknown.

It's been 2 years since my mother side grandfather passed away.
It's still fresh in my mind, for that time was the 1st time I experienced that painful loss.

2 years later, which is now, my father side grandfather is leaving anytime soon.
As an eldest grandson, I am supposed to visit and take care of him.
But then I really can't do anything for him.
Despite me being the eldest grandson, I feel really fucking useless.
My IAP is tying me up and I cannot anyhow take off day.
Last week I received a call from my dad saying he got admitted to hospital.
Damn it this shocked me. I thought he needed to go for operation.
But the doctor says, if op either he passes on during the op or get stroke.
So the decision is not to op.
My grandfather's heart is clogging up, every single organ in him is failing.
He needs to wear elderly diapers now, he can't walk and he can't do much.

He's been crying 3 to 4 times this few days alone.
I wasn't present at that moment but then when I heard that he cried, it just breaks my heart.
Never before in my life I saw/heard him cry (other than the time in Hong Kong back in 1994/95).
Went to visit last weekend, he was quite happy to see me.
He smiled, he didn't cry.
I don't know why he didn't cry, and I don't know what was he thinking at that moment.
But somehow I looked at him, he looked older than before.
He looked weaker than before.
He looked more frail than before.
He looked more tired than before.
He grew more white hair than before.
As usual, when I visited him, he sat at his chair, reading his Lianhe Wanbao with his thick glasses, and then watching all those China warfare documentaries and those Qing Dynasty Empress Dowager Cixi period documentaries.
He saw me and asked me about my school and work.
Same answer, I told him "GOOD".
That's the only English word he knows.
His Madarin is limited, and my Hokchew dialect is near zero understanding.
I could only speak little bit Hokkien to him, I know he has this anti-Hokkien thingy on his mind.
But a little bit Hokkien wouldn't anger him, so he smiled saying "GOOD".
We have a little bit communication problem, but I know what is he talking about.
Damn, maybe I should have learn the Hokchew dialect when I was little.

Anyway that was last Saturday.
My uncle came over to my house and watch the BPL match between Manchester United and Arsenal.
And then my uncle went home before the match ended because my father came back and there was nobody else (besides my grandmother) to take care of grandpa.
My uncle thought he was asleep but then my dad said he wanted to watch the action movie on Channel 8.
(The movie was SPL [杀破狼] starring Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung and obviously he loves violent fighting shows like this).
My grandfather would stay up late just for this movie.
After watching he will just go to sleep.

Few nights ago my dad brought home some old photos of grandpa and grandma.
There was some of their friends photos too.
Those black and white photos were dated all the way back from 1910s to 1980s.
1st time I see those Qing era photos and pigtails, when my grandpa was a child.
And then those photos, though they are old, but the beauty still remains.
My grandpa was a very handsome and fierce young man during his days.
Comparing to now, he's really old, relying on people to help him.
Wheelchair is his transport, he can't go anywhere far.
He only has months, possibly even days to stay in this world.
And really, I can't do anything much...

My only hope - let him live longer. Please.

It's been 3 weeks since IAP started.
Good in there, learnt lotsa stuffs in just mere 3 weeks.
Sometimes we just talk rubbish when we're free.

Maybe I will get 1 too, but this item is currently not in my wishlist for 2007.

So far attachment's been real good.
The 3 of us learnt many new stuffs.
Like assembling of PCs and all.
More than what the school taught us.
And serve customers. That's all.

Last Saturday I went for the gathering with my ITE dudes.
Yuwei, Eugene, David, Kianhao, Weiting, Hanwei and Ryan.
We went to eat Yaki-Yaki and then so many stupid things happen.
